Alex is the original founder of the firm and established Ferguson Law in September, 2008. Alex attended Queen’s University, in Kingston, ON, for both his Bachelor of Arts in History, as well as his Bachelor of Laws. Alex completed his articles and the Bar Admission Course at Barnes Sammon LLP.
Alex was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2007 and has established a large and diverse practice. He currently practices in the following areas: Civil Litigation, Commercial & Residential Real Estate Transactions, Criminal Law, Estate Litigation, Estate Planning & Wills, Family & Child Apprehension Law, Municipal Law and Real Estate Litigation.
Alex enjoys the teaching aspect of law and has, in the past, taken on law summer students and articling students with the intention of legal mentorship.
Alex currently resides in Carleton Place, ON, and enjoys interacting with the local community, as it is one that he has been immersed in since he was a child. In his spare time, he is usually found at sports practices for his three children; William, Duncan and Rory.
